Porcelain shells

The delicate porcelain shells is a non-porous material so may hold a floating candle. If any wax gets inside, add some very hot water (taking care not to burn yourself) which will dissolve the wax, empty the shell and wash with warm soapy water.

Any marks can be gently scrubbed with an abrasive cleaner- such as baking soda or a cleaner like cif. Be careful not to bang them in a ceramic sink (you can line the sink with a tea towel.

They are not food friendly due to the copper oxide edge and are unsuitable for the dishwasher.

Vases

All the vases are fully functional unless stated. The porcelain or stoneware clay they are made from, vitrify during the high firing & along with the clear glaze inside they are non-porous. They can be cleaned with warm soapy water after use & any stubborn marks can be gently scrubbed with an abrasive cleaner- such as baking soda or a cleaner like cif.
