Each vase is completely unique. They can be grouped together but stand alone in their individuality.
Using a black stoneware clay to make the column vase I then layered coloured slips & etched lines & pulled away some of the slip to make a layered textured surface.
After an initial firing I glaze the interior with a clear glaze and a green gloss to the exterior.
Then it is fired in a high temperature firing of 1265 degrees where it becomes non porous.
